A large biotechnology company in Santa Monica is looking for a remote or hybrid Project Manager to join their team. This company develops cancer immunotherapy products with a primary focus on cell therapy based solutions. This person will be focused on 2 main objectives including Analytical Method Transfers, Development of a New Product, and General Process Improvement.
1. Analytical Method Transfers: 50% of the time this project manager will support the transfer of testing methods from an external partner to an internal Kite team on the east coast, overall supporting the development of a new product. This PM will collaborate with internal and external cross functional teams, as well as their manufacturing partner. This will require scheduling meetings, tracking progress and timelines, handling issue resolution, and communicating with teams involved to support this transfer successfully.
2. Development of a New Product: 50% of the time this project manager will support the Vector team based in Southern California with standardization of the manufacturing process for a CAR T-Cell Therapy product. This team is working to consolidate the type of viruses being used to develop the product down to one type; this PM will help support this process by tracking timeliness, progress, issue resolution, and analytical methods.
3. Process Improvement: This project manager will also support the team through overall process improvement to increase efficiencies across projects. This will include measuring time spent on projects, tracking efficiency, automating processes, and collaborating with the team to improve and streamline projects.
