Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join one of it's top clients in the Consulting industry to support a high priority project with a government entity. This individual will serve a key role in the design and development of software which will directly impact the greater population, and will be part of a large push to modernize government services and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a background in modern development and front-end frameworks, and will be comfortable contributing across the entire technology stack.
Additional responsibilities include:
-Participate in agile development process
-Contribute to agile sprint planning and story development
-Leverage react framework to design and develop modern functional front-end frameworks
-Work closely with UI/UX teams to design applications that provide superior experience and interaction
-Work closely with the end customer on requirements, sprint planning and code review.
-Consult and advise on best practices around development of modern tools and environments
-Design and develop superior application logic and functionality in Go programming language (Golang).
-Take Cloud Native approach to development, specifically within an AWS environment
-Work closely with DevOps teams for effective and efficient deployments
-Periodic travel to customer site for on-site meetings and events
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience using modern, web development tools, techniques, and methods for the creation and deployment of user-facing interfaces. Is comfortable working in an agile and lean environment to routinely deploy changes.
3 years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.
2+ years of experience with ReactJS
2+ years of experience with back-end technologies and server-side frameworks, specifically Golang and its frameworks (e.g., Chi, Echo, etc.)
2+ years of experience with open source RDMBS technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and designing efficient data models
Experience working with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Jasmine)
Experience using Git and version control tools like GitHub or BitBucket.
Experience working in a highly Agile environment with a deep understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field, or relevant work experience on a year-to-year basis.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Knowledge of DevOps practices and experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, such as Jenkins or CircleCI.
Experience with AWS
Understanding of security best practices and implementing measures to protect web applications from potential vulnerabilities
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
