Job Description

Insight Global is looking for Programmer Analyst to sit in the Bay Area for one of the largest Utility companies. You will be joining a technical operations team supporting a customer information system on the back end (tier 2-3 support). Overall, the team is needing support with production systems and production outages as well as on-call support for their Meter to Cash systems. For this role, there will be 8-12 weeks of training for their 24-7 operating systems before beginning any on-call rotation. You will be on rotation every 6-8 weeks working modified hours. While on call, you will be monitoring systems, identifying errors, and escalating any issues needed. When you are not on-call, you will be working closely with testers and developers answering any questions, monitoring job flow through automated systems, coordinating with other teams if any outages will be disruptive, putting together plans for outages, windows/linux patching, reviewing file permissions and completing jobs on a timely manner. The group has 2 test environments and 1 full scale test environment. Their Oracle systems interface with WebLogic, Salesforce, AWS, tomcat and many modern control tools. Required Skills & Experience

- BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or equivalent work experience

- 3+ years of strong technical background (system administrator, programmer background)

- Ability to communicate effectively to troubleshoot and problem solve cross-functionally with internal and external teams.

- Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Extremely detail-oriented

- Basic programming knowledge (SQL)

- Knowledge of computer enterprise systems (SAP, CC&B, etc.)

- Operation experience

- Good understanding of linux, unix, active directory, windows, commands, etc.
