Job Description

A large electronics company is looking for a NOC Engineer to join their team of 6. This individual will be working the 9PM - 5AM PST shift of the 24/7 support with one weekend day included in the 5 day workweek. The NOC Engineer will be the first responder for anything from server, network, and other infrastructure related problems, internal incidents, and Help Desk support. As a generalist in IT the ideal candidate will have broad spectrum of skills as well as ability to become subject matter experts with some technology used by the company. This person will need to be comfortable multitasking to reactively address issues effecting players and service.



Below are some of the main job responsibilities but not limited to:

· Troubleshoot & perform basic system administration tasks for Windows and Linux Servers, and network equipment.

· Perform patch management of windows and Linux servers both on-site and cloud (Just support, not necessarily fully responsible for it, there is a lot of automation)

· Ensure backups are successful

· Adopts and follows best practices and develops procedures where appropriate.

· Monitors and proactively supports products and services to assure their performance, availability, security, and capacity.

· Diagnoses, isolates, and resolves problems with supported technologies, products, and services. Identifies and performs documented root cause analysis.

· Participate and manage key infrastructure projects as an individual, with the team members of the department, and with Epson's business groups.

Will monitor and manage Control-M job execution for production and Q/A systems

Required Skills & Experience

**We would like to find someone will experience with MOST of these requirements, does not need to be ALL of them. Experience with similar tools than what is in parenthesis is OK as well**



· 5+ years of experience working in NOC, Operations, or System Administration roles

· Experience with Enterprise Monitoring solutions. (SolarWinds)

· Experience with ITIL based Ticketing systems. (Ivanti Service Manager)

· Experience with Linux and Windows systems, which include patch management solutions. (SCCM and Satellite Server) (Linux preferred)

· Experience in working with Active Directory (Provide user provisioning management e.g., new account set-up, security access creation, account removal at termination, etc.)

· Experience with automation. (Ansible)

· Familiar with cloud. (AWS preferred, Azure, GCP)

· Experience with enterprise backup solutions. (VEEAM)

· Job scheduling experience; controlling unattended background program execution for production and Q/A systems (BMC Control-M)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Network infrastructure experience
