An entertainment company is looking to bring on a hands-on Technical Engineering Lead that is located in the Los Angeles area and able to work in a hybrid environment, coming into the office 2-3x a week. They will be leading a team and working on an already existing application, with the goal to improve and enhance authentication features in efforts to provide more security for external users when creating a login and their profile.
Responsibilities:
This individual will split their daily responsibilities by leading/managing a small team and being hands on, working with the members of the team to meet the end-goal of the project.
- Running daily stand-up scrum meetings for a small team of engineers.
- Understanding the projects timeline and working hands-on with the engineers reviewing existing code written in Java within DynamoDB in an AWS environment.
- Reviewing code, rewriting code, and relaying feedback to the team on any findings.
- Working on the backend and frontend to update components to have them reflect for the external user.
- 4-6+ years of experience as a hands-on Technical Engineering Lead.
- Experience leading a small team on various design and development projects; ensuring the overall goal is met.
- Comfortable making technical decisions, managing the team's performance and tasks, and providing feedback to others.
- Experience communicating and collaborating with the product team and other engineering teams to ensure all requirements are met on the given timeline.
- Advanced Grafana and/or Elasticsearch reporting experience for all metrics and logs.
- Experience working within a Microservices environment.
- Experience working with AWS technologies.
- Advanced experience reviewing existing code written in Java within DynamoDB, being able to identify the issues, being able to troubleshoot, and being able to relay feedback to the team members.
- Experience working with OAuth 2.0 protocol.
- Previous software development experience within a professional setting for the Accounts and Authentication team and/or projects.
- Software Development for Accounts systems/Authentication systems experience.
- Considers themselves as a Scrum Master or advanced with scrum methodology.
