Our client is looking for an IT Project Manager to support a State of California Agency. This employee will be responsible for helping across a few state agencies with a main emphasize on one (the agency will be relayed during the interview process). The Project Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of 22 initiatives/projects . The types of projects range from managing resources, mentorship of Jr. PM's, and IT infrastructure. Managing the relationship with the State of California stakeholders and growing their business will be a focus as the position carries on. This position will start as a Project Manager and eventually grow into a leadership role or Senior PM.
- 5+ years of Project Manager experience with previous experience managing resources, mentoring Jr. PM's, and managing IT infrastructure related projects
- Business Process Analysis experience (Comfortable with documentation, developing new processes, and taking requirements)
- State, City, Government, or federal working experience
- Ability to mentor and coach team members or resources on the project
