An employer based in the Los Angeles area is looking for a Technical Writer. This role is fully remote working west coast hours. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating documentation that clarifies the product features and functionality. You will work on documenting system functionality for Salesforce based systems.
You day to day will be broken down as the following:
70% - Create Documentation: Collaborates with the technical team(s) and subject matter experts to document system functionality. Must determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest comprehension. Converts complex documentation to easy language for multiple audiences.
30% - Distribute Documentation: Disseminate technical documentation to support teams, ensuring that we have a version that conforms to Service Now knowledge object templates for tiered support levels.
- 5+ years of proven experience in writing technical documentation
- Recent experience technical writing in Salesforce
- Understand and explain complex technical concepts
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Solid grip on documentation publishing software such as Camtasia, SnagIt, and other software
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, Salesforce
- Experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously that include:
- Simultaneous workstreams and development teams
- Iterative agile projects with ongoing releases
- Experience in Media & Entertainment Industry
