Job Description
Day to Day: Insight Global is seeking a Principal Level Engineer with expertise in Endpoint Management and a background in wireless networking. As part of the endpoint management team, you will be responsible for leading projects/initiatives, forming teams, creating engineering solutions, distributing software, presenting decks to executive stakeholders, and working cross-functionally. This team has recently completed a migration of 360,000 Windows Endpoints and currently manages over 450,000 endpoints, including mobile devices, laptops, desktops, and Zebra Devices, such as barcode scanners and other medical devices. The team is focused on ensuring that the new migration is in a steady state before implementing other planned initiatives in their environment. These projects include a Conditional Access project, New Device Modern Management 2.0, and a potential new program for Drivers and Firmware. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must have an enterprise background in modern endpoint management and wireless networking, with exposure to managing upwards of 25,000 endpoint devices. A thorough understanding of Azure cloud and Active Directory, as well as software distribution, are also key elements for this role. Additional skills that will serve you well in this role include understanding networking at the packaging level, experience with security tools such as Splunk, Crowdstrike, and Windows Defender Plus, as well as knowledge of drivers and firmware.
Required Skills & Experience
Location: Remote out of any KP Region (California, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Washington DC, Georgia, Maryland, Virginia)
Must Haves:
* 8+ Years' engineering experience in Endpoint Management
Expertise in modern management, Intune/SCCM/MECM or other Endpoint Management systems.
* 2+ Years' experience with wireless client-side networking
Understanding networking at the packaging level
Testing and configuring wireless chipsets for laptops and other devices
* Administration Experience with Azure (cloud), Active Directory and Windows OS.
* Strong background with PowerShell Scripting
Pluses:
* Strong understanding of Software Distribution, Drivers and Firmware
* Experience creating Group Policies in Active Directory
