Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an HR Generalist who will sit onsite in Marina Del Rey. This is for one of our top clients who is a leader in the natural health and wellness industry.
In this role you will be responsible for enhancing the department functions by providing support in the areas of recruiting, onboarding, leaves of absence, payroll and benefits administration. You will assist with the implementation and maintenance of programs involving leave administration, workplace safety, and compliance training, learning and development. You will handle all of the administrative tasks for onboarding and new hire orientation to deliver an exceptional first day experience. You will also be responsible for running bi-weekly payroll and maintaining all records for all employees. You will also be responsible for assisting with recruiting by working very closely with hiring managers to develop specific recruiting plans, screening resumes and coordinating interviews with the hiring managers. You will also ensure that employee benefits enrollment, changes and terminations are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
Other responsibilities may include but not limit:
* Serve as first point of contact within the HR department, filtering employee and visitor needs, assisting or directing them appropriately.
* On a bi-weekly basis, responsible for processing payroll, entering timekeeping, and time off request. On a daily basis, responsible for tracking and managing employee attendance and COVID health screenings completion. As needed, responsible for entering new hires, terminations, and status changes into the payroll/HRIS system.
* As a custodian of records, you will create, file, and maintain employment records according with the Labor Department and State laws.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years in an HR Generalist role
- 3+ years of experience being in charge of payroll
- 3+ years of experience covering California employment laws
- 2+ years of experience with recruiting
- Basic understanding of benefits and ability to answer general benefits questions
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience being more technically involved in HRIS (Adobe or Excel, etc.)
- Experience working at a Manufacturing company
- Experience working in a small team
