REMOTE Data Quality/Test Engineer

An employer in Los Angeles, CA is looking for a Data Quality/Test Engineer to join a top streaming client. The team you are joining is focused on the API services, QA, Data Validation side. This team is comprised various groups that support all Native Applications, Data Pipelines, and OTT/VOD streaming on various platforms including but not limited to Android, IPhone, Roku, SmartTV, and more. You will be powering new features constantly and embedded into scrum teams while testing both on the more functional and manual side and Automation side on the backend depending on what is necessary. The streaming platform will be using APIs once completed so you will work hand in hand with the associated scrum master and engineering teams that develop these APIs. The team operates within 2-week sprints, and you will take on epic stories/user stories that need to be tested and need to look at the data you are dealing with from an analytical perspective. Experience with google analytics or Adobe analytics is a big plus as well as previous streaming industry experience. Strong communication and, passion for their craft, and flexibility in the way you test is critical. Your first couple of months will be contributing to roadmap sessions/initiatives. As the proceed through the project you will hit deadlines in regards to the testing of the infrastructure and write code to examine and validate large-scale software development and deployments. You will also support in building tools to help developers be more productive, write code better, and test it. While their current environment is mainly automated, there is some manual testing. In which, this person will need to be comfortable with both!

· 5+ years of experience on developing Test Automation scripts using Java and Selenium

- Strong expertise with SQL

- functional and manual testing experience as well

· Expertise in creating and executing tests using robust API testing frameworks, Data Validation and Analytics

· Strong coding/automation skills in Java

· Strong Experience w/ SQL, NoSQL/ SQL databased (ability to joint tables, inner/outer joints)

· Experience with automation tools such as Selenium or TestNG

· Experience with Client-Side Testing on Native Apps, OTT (Over-the-top), web platforms

· Cloud experience (AWS or Azure)
