Job Description

An international law firm client is seeking an E-Learning Consultant/Instructional Designer to join their Client Services team on the West Coast as they will be supporting West Coast offices. This team is responsible for e-learning across the enterprise from creating content & learning materials for their end users surrounding new technologies being brought into the firm. The Instructional Design & Delivery Specialist consults and partners with key stakeholders and peers to create, implement and deliver learning strategies that develop technology-related skills in order to enhance the firm's performance and efficiency. The delivery of these training materials could vary from videos to one-pagers to power-points and live interactive presentations. This role will work with peers on the IS Learning & Development team, as well as other groups within the firm, to prioritize the IS training workload and determine learning strategy. The IS Instructional Design & Delivery Specialist will assist in assembling learning and development materials into curricula and training programs that serve attorneys and staff. This role is also responsible for updating and curating current training materials and researching and finding new sources of ready-made training content. The Instructional Design & Delivery Specialist is responsible for delivering new hire training and other classes, in virtual classroom environments, to all personnel. The candidate will be tasked with various projects, seeing them out from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have strong relationship skills and the ability to hold/ present teaching seminars in a way that the end users will understand. This role is 100% remote on Pacific Coast with normal working hours (8-5 or 9-6).

Required Skills & Experience

- 3-5+ years experience of Learning & Development or Instructional Design (eLearning) , or Technical Training

- LAW FIRM background

- Experience developing content for training modules/courses/e-learning videos/reference guides

- Prior live in-person or virtual classroom experience teaching technology-related material

- MS office experience

- Understanding around instructional design to compile material in an effective manner

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Exposure with a Learning Management Software (LMS) tool (Adobe Captivate, Lectora, Camtasia, etc)

- Workday Learning

- Legal software experience (iManage, etc)
