Insight Global is looking for a Digital Accessibility Consultants for a contract-to-hire in the San Francisco, Concord or Tempe, AZ locations. This position will allow a hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite.
Our client is seeking an expert in Accessibility to join a team that supports enrollment of customers. This position will advise 80+ teams in ADA compliance. You will be supporting QA teams across multiple groups specifically rewriting CEO products to Vantage on UI work. This will consist of read and writing user stories which gathering requirements from teams for App Squads, Browser Stack, and more all while driving your own test cases. This role's main duties are to consult in early design phases, not just testing. The responsibilities of this job consist of providing guidance and educating developers, designers, writers, document creators, product owners, etc. on Accessibility for proactive testing. The best candidates are proficient in WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 (levels A and AA), can determine which violations have occurred, and can help the appropriate people find solutions for fixing them. We also need people with demonstrated experience testing using JAWS, VoiceOver, NVDA, Color Contrast, Browser Zoom, etc., and have a familiarity with automated testing tools such as WAVE or axe. This is in an Agile methodology, so Agile experience is preferred. Below are some more bullet points on the day to day.
· Work closely in Scrum team to make sure Agile principles are met. Perform ADA testing, write automation scripts, run regression.
· Generate a compliance report containing a summary of errors; regression test performed to ensure complete WCAG2.1A (AA, AAA) compliance.
· Work with multiple development scrum teams to deliver high quality release in a monthly cycle.
· Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: build/deploy processes, and release management
· Collaborate and consult with peers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals. Contribute to large scale planning of strategies.
· Test, automate and document for projects associated with deployments.
Required Skills & Experience
2+ years ADA Testing Windows or Native apps
3+ years of experience in accessibility testing web-based applications on Windows desktop and MAC
3+ years of experience accessibility testing native mobile applications on iOS and Android
Expert in accessibility guidelines WCAG and the good knowledge of tools like JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, axe DevTools.
Experience in functional testing and automation scripts writing.
Expertise in using different testing tools such as ALM, JIRA for defect and requirement management.
