One of our Government clients is currently supporting an existing Eligibility Program with the State of California. This program was kicked off in August 2021 and has seen a large spike in the amount of applicants applying. As a Fully Remote Eligibility Worker II you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- perform intake evaluations and assist applicants in submitting correct information for final eligibility review and decisioning
- Assist applicants in submitting required documentation through State's website, email, phone calls, and messaging portal. Educate applicants on necessary documentation to qualify as necessary
- Familiarize oneself with program requirements and State of California requirements/guidelines for programs and evaluate application readiness for complete eligibility review
- Must be able to use online portal to communicate with applicants the missing or incorrect information submitted in order to process their applications
- Handle 30+ applicants a week and provide excellent communication/customer service
- Provide final stamp of approval for Applicants applying to various programs.
- 2+ years of eligibility work performing case reviews and determining eligibility of applicants for state, county/city, or government agencies or programs
- Need to be familiar with and identify various versions of income, paystubs, 1099, tax returns, bank statements, utility bills, letters of employment, offer letters, etc.
- Comfortable working in a remote setting and working with candidates over the phone and basic computer skills using Microsoft office, outlook, and excel
- Ability to work 8am-5pm PST hours and use their computer, internet, and phone for this opportunity
- State of California working experience with Eligibility programs
