Job Description
The Clinical Research Coordinator will perform independently or with general direction at the operational journey level of the series to execute, manage, and coordinate research protocols, as directed by the Project Manager of Specialty Centers and the PI, Chief, Section of Cardiac Electrophysiology. They may coordinate the data collection and operations of several concurrent clinical research studies under the guidelines of research protocols, UCSF and regulating agency policies
The CRC's duties may include, but will not be limited to:
* Standard recruitment practices: identifying and contacting patients for inclusion in clinical trials
* Consenting of patients in person or over phone/video
* Assist in collecting clinical research data and samples
* Support the management and coordinating the tasks for between 4-6 clinical research studies depending on their size and complexity
* Participate in the review and writing of protocols to ensure IRB approval within university compliance
* Manage Investigator's protocols in Investigational Review Board (IRB) online system, as well as renewals and modifications of protocol applications and the implementation of new studies (iMedRIS IRB, WCG, Advarra)
* Creation and maintenance of regulatory documentation including Inform consent forms, financial disclosures, 1572s, etc.
* Create, clean, update, and manage databases and comprehensive datasets and reports; help assure compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies; oversee study data integrity
Required Skills & Experience
* 1-3 Years of Clinical Research Coordination experience
* Cardiology research background a plus
* Great communication skills, both written and verbal
* Experience with Epic/Apex
* Regulatory experience: IRB startup and initiation (Inform consent forms, financial disclosures, 1572s, etc.)
* EMR/EHR experience
* Data management experience (experience with iMediData, Encore, etc., a plus!)
* Experience consenting patients in person/phone/video and ability collect and process samples
