Your Role:
Versum Materials now a part of EMD Electronics has an opening for a Semiconductor Gas and Chemical Equipment Technician. The individual will be responsible for supporting and leading the technical demands of the site gas and/or chemical equipment. They will ensure compliance in operation and maintenance procedures and emergency preparedness and drive flawless execution.

A subject matter expert for gas chemical and/or slurry equipment providing technical support and problem resolution. The individuals will be a part of the onsite Project and equipment team and will support the gas and chemical operations.
The Technician will be responsible for supporting and leading the technical challenges for over 2000 pieces of distribution equipment of various types and vendors. You will ensure compliance when writing editing and executing operating and maintenance procedures and drive a ZERO safety or quality incident culture. A subject matter expert for gas chemical and/or slurry equipment providing technical support and problem resolution.

The individual will also be involved in projects and sustaining operations Basic Safety processes Quality Management preventative maintenance and training. They will support installations decommissioning troubleshooting and repair of all Versum Materials Gas Systems Applied Energy Systems gas systems Fuji liquid delivery systems Air Liquide Gas and Chemical systems.

The individual must be capable of performing cylinder and drum changes on all chemical and gas systems and perform complex troubleshooting and problem resolution for all equipment. Must demonstrate quality and comprehensive knowledge of gas or chemical applications in wafer fabrication and emergency response.

Our team of 36 supports the facilities 24x7. The individual may be assigned to first 7:00am - 3:30pm or second shift 3:00pm - 11:30pm Monday-Friday and frequently be assigned overtime on weekends. You may be asked to support a compressed workweek schedule and/or twenty-four-hour call as required.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience with gas and chemical systems in a semiconductor ultra-high purity operation as an equipment technician.

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Navy Nuclear power school trained a
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics design or engineering.
