Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an Autonomous Vehicle Integration Enginer to join a Fortune 500 semiconductor/AI company headquartered in Santa Clara, CA. This individual will join the Autonomous Vehicle Operations made up of automotive technicians and engineers responsible for developing and maintaining our autonomous driving platform (incl. sensors like cameras, LiDAR, radar, USS, GPS and others). We focus on reported vehicle platform issues, and you will triage those in the vehicle. You will help build, test, and maintain the system and make it work perfectly and safely on our driving platform.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
-Debug/maintain and integrate software packages into vehicle platforms
-Triage reported in-vehicle issues (that could be related to sensors, vehicle ECUs, vehicle communication, data logging equipment, software and more)
-Troubleshoot and find root cause in vehicle (ex: sensors, maintenance light, bug in software package,etc.)
-Deploying software packages in vehicle platform (in a Linux environment)
-Working alongside automotive technician and engineers and escalate issue to them
Required Skills & Experience
-3+ years of hands-on experience diagnosing automotive, or robotics or mechanical products vehicles (disassembling and assembling parts)
-3+ years of experience with ECU or ECM "electronic control units" or "Electronic control module" (example: CAN analyzer, Bus analyzer, Lin analyzer, ethernet, controllers)
-Really strong Linux experience-deploying/updating/installing software packages into Linux OS
-Extensive experience troubleshooting electrical systems
-Previously worked in the OEM industry, automotive industry, aerospace industry, avionic industry, mechatronics industry, robotics industry: Rivian, Waymo, Zoox, Tesla, Argo.ai, Momenta, Cruise, May Mobility, Nuro, Drive.ai, Honda R&D, etc., Argo.AI
-Bachelors in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, IT)
