A large printing company is looking for an Instructional Designer/Technical Writer to create technical instructions for set up and onboarding on at home printers. This person will be fully responsible for all of the writing to ensure there is clear messaging that allows the user to have a positive set up experience. They will also need to be able to create and maintain a consistent tone in their writing.
The ideal candidate will have experience creating written content that instructs specifically consumer users. This content will be on different touch points including the control panel, desk top and mobile.
They will need to have writing samples of their written work, specifically with content that instructs and calls the user to the next action.
This will not me Marketing Comm content but more in time with Technical Writing / Instructional Content for digital touch points. While they will have UX Designers helping with the content display, this person needs to be aware og how the content will need to be laid out in the apps and the contraints that might come with those.
They will work with software and UX teams.
-3-5 years of experience with instructional design on digital touchpoints
-ability to create a consistent tone and voice
-ability to create content that calls the user to act
-ability to work with cross functional teams (software and design)
-understanding of the constraints of creating content for digital apps
