Job Description
An employer is looking for a Remote eCommerce Product Manager to support a San Diego based team. This person will fall underneath the CIO and dotted line report to the CMO. They will be responsible for driving the vision and execution of digital products (i.e., software applications) or elements of a product, and developing long-term product plans. This person is expected to be fairly senior to help with critical strategy but also required to be hands on. The employer is looking for someone to help build out their Product environment from the ground up working alongside both a Scrum Master and Engineering Director. This person can sit 100% remote but must work PST.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Studies end-user needs, defines product features and coordinates activities across teams to meet quality standards, project deadlines and business objectives. Activities include: gathering and writing requirements for medium and large application features; conducting competitive analyses; and using product discovery techniques to aid in prioritization of features (e.g., A/B, surveys, interviews, etc.).
2. Develops long-term product plans (i.e., roadmaps), and leads stakeholders through the roadmap process for assigned product(s). Activities include: conferring with engineering, marketing, clients, prospects, operations, legal and others, and developing financial models to aid in prioritization.
3. Monitors and reports on product utilization and identifies trends.
4. Provides guidance to less-experienced staff.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience as a Product Owner/Manager or a similar role, preferably on an Agile team
6+ years of experience within eCommerce/Omni-Channel/Digital
Experience gathering requirements, writing user stories, and back log grooming to drive execution
Experience with creating long term strategies and road maps
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
