Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join one of Canada's largest retail clients in Vancouver, BC. In this position, you will be a part of the Login and Identity team, currently in the discovery phase of building a Loyalty Community Application. The application is projected to launch in mid-2024. The team is looking for someone who can understand the customer data for each member in the loyalty program and recommend the most appropriate next steps. The goal is to complete the discovery phase by the end of fiscal year 2023 to understand the requirements for the FY24 launch.



The ideal candidate for this role will excel in facilitating collaboration between business and product owners. Although they don't need to provide solutions, they should possess strong coaching and whiteboarding abilities. They will work closely with business and product stakeholders as well as technology teams to establish experience and technical requirements for robust features and functionality that enhance the guest experience. The team maintains a close working relationship with business owners and product managers in the digital space to ensure the creation and management of digital roadmaps aligned with the necessary requirements for addressing high-priority problems within each roadmap.



The Business Analyst team is highly organized, values research, and excels in facilitation, problem-solving, and bringing together the right skill sets to ensure that requirements are aligned to enhance the guest experience across all digital properties. A key strength of this team is translating business strategy into feature and project requirements.



* Facilitate conversations in between business, product and technology teams to land on vision and strategy for MVP

* Experience and functional requirements gathering

* Helping business owner and/or product manager groom backlog

* Documenting decision logs, dependency management and architectural design in requirements

* Aligning overall scope and sequencing recommendations with product manager and business owners

* Utilizes artifacts such as JIRA, Confluence and Business Process Documentation to facilitate requirement alignment sessions

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of business analyst experience; ideally has lead a loyalty, customer rewards, gamification initiative from conception/discovery to completion

Experience providing requirements for medium to large initiatives ($2M-$5M)

Experience working with both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies

Demonstrated experience translating strategy into feature development roadmaps

Demonstrated experience making tradeoffs between business needs and technology constraints while keeping the guest's need at the top of mind

Exposure to Jira, Confluence, or other project management tools
