Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help scale and technically own the broader AI Operations platform for a AAA Gaming Company. This individual will serve as a senior technical leader responsible for platform architecture, engineering standards, roadmap development, and hands-on software development. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience building large-scale backend platforms and has practical expertise deploying Generative AI solutions in production environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the evolution and scalability of the organization's AI Operations platform.
- Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and architectural patterns.
- Perform hands-on software development, primarily focused on backend platform engineering.
- Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Build and maintain APIs, services, and event-driven architectures.
- Develop AI platform capabilities including: RAG systems, Prompt management, Hallucination detection, Version management, AI evaluation frameworks, Improve platform reliability, observability, monitoring, and QA processes.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab and ArgoCD.
- Collaborate with globally distributed teams to define technical roadmaps and delivery strategies.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, debugging sessions, and technical leadership.
- Drive operational excellence and production readiness across the platform.

Required Skills & Experience
- 10-12 years of software engineering experience building and operating: Large-scale backend platforms, distributed systems, developer platforms, enterprise internal tools, automation platforms
- Previous experience programming from scratch with Python as well as doing feature enhancements
- 2+ years of practical Generative AI experience, including: Building and shipping AI-powered applications, LLM integrations, RAG architectures, vector databases, hybrid search, and building and implementing chatbots
- Experience implementing ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, understanding of how containers are built, and deployment automation
- Familiarity with EKS and cloud-native application deployment
- Experience designing secure enterprise integrations with strong focus on: Identity management, permissions, auditability, security, operational safety
- Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction and mentor engineering teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Deep understanding of: Kubernetes, API design and architecture, event-driven systems, message queues, PostgreSQL and data storage systems, caching technologies, CI/CD pipelines, telemetry and distributed tracing
- Strong understanding of reliability and resiliency patterns including: Retries, idempotency, circuit breakers, rate limiting, asynchronous processing, failure isolation, incident response
