Job Description

Our client in the Chemical Engineering industry is seeking a Facilities Engineer to lead and support smaller capital projects and site optimization initiatives at their existing renewable natural gas, anaerobic digestion, and composting facilities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on, practical engineering work—improving the performance, reliability, and efficiency of operating assets—while also gaining exposure to larger infrastructure development projects as opportunities arise.

Required Skills & Experience

P.Eng. designation (Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Biological, or similar).

4 years of engineering experience in construction, infrastructure, utilities, industrial facilities, renewable energy, or related environments.

Project engineering/coordinator experience managing schedules, budgets, vendors, contractors, and project deliverables.

Hands-on facility or plant experience, with an interest in operations, optimization, reliability, and equipment upgrades.

Strong communication and organization skills with willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), biogas, anaerobic digestion, composting, wastewater, utilities, or industrial processing experience.

AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Project, or Smartsheet.

Environmental permitting and regulatory experience.
