Job Description

Insight Global is hiring for a Sales Director to join PayByPhone, a global mobile parking payments platform used by cities, operators, and millions of drivers worldwide. The Sales Director is a senior individual‑contributor role responsible for driving new business growth across the Pacific Northwest territory. This is a true hunter role, focused on building net‑new pipeline, closing complex deals, and expanding PayByPhone’s presence within municipal, government, and enterprise environments. You’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy owning your territory end‑to‑end, navigating long and sometimes stalled deal cycles, and consistently creating momentum in the pipeline. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in B2G sales, understands how municipalities buy, and enjoys being on the road building relationships.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

New Business Development
• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of net‑new opportunities
• Develop territory plans and execute against revenue targets
• Navigate complex, multi‑stakeholder deal cycles, including stalled or delayed deals
Territory Ownership
• Manage the Pacific Northwest territory with a mix of driving and flying
• Travel approximately 30–40%, with higher activity in peak seasons (fall) and lighter travel during winter months
• Attend multiple conferences annually to build brand presence and generate leads
Consultative & Strategic Selling
• Sell into municipal, government, and public‑sector organizations (B2G)
• Act as a thought leader and trusted advisor, consulting prospects on optimizing their parking and payment environments
• Lead RFP responses in collaboration with internal bid and marketing teams
Internal Collaboration & Reporting
• Partner closely with Client Success, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure smooth handoffs and successful launches
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in Salesforce CRM
• Provide visibility into pipeline, forecasts, and territory performance

3. Background in fintech, parking, payments, or adjacent technology industries
4. Experience closing complex, enterprise‑level deals with long sales cycles

6. Comfort working independently and owning a territory solo
Salesforce (or comparable CRM) experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Direct experience selling into municipalities rather than only private‑sector businesses (B2G)
• Existing network within West Coast or Pacific Northwest public‑sector organizations
• Experience with RFP‑driven sales cycles
