Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Development Coordinator to join a large Food and Beverage client of ours in North Vancouver BC. This Development Coordinator will report to the Vice President of Development and will closely collaborate with the Real Estate Team and the legal team. The Development Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to ensure critical documents in the life of a new restaurant move through the development process accurately and efficiently. As such, this resource will be a liaison between the 2 teams to coordinate, develop, and document the process of finding and securing locations for new franchise opportunities.
Responsibilities
• Coordinates, tracks, and reports on status of (annually) 20–25 Offers to Lease to full execution, managing all conditions in each fully executed Offer to Lease including working with both the Development group and external partners.
• Collects real estate and franchising information required to prepare the Franchise Disclosure Documents and Franchise Agreements, coordinating the preparation and managing the timeline to execution of these agreements with Legal Services and a franchise candidate.
• Maintains tracking data ensuring accuracy and prepares Protected Territory maps for disclosure purposes with radius restriction data.
Completes special projects for the Asset Management, Real Estate and Franchise Development teams as needed.

Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves
• 2-5 years experience in a business / coordination role, with a high level of organizational skills, meticulous detail orientation, and an aptitude for efficient time management.
• Experience / exposure to a real estate or legal environment
• Well developed communication and relationship building skills, the ability to take initiative in problem solving, as well as to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with a customer service focus.
• A thorough understanding of various computer software applications with the ability to prepare and maintain spreadsheets, presentations, maps and general word processing. Familiarity working with collaborative technology software tools, such as the Google suite of products is an asset.
• Desire to grow into their career at an established company
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses
• An undergraduate degree, ideally in Commerce or Business Administration, with a specialization in real estate and legal matters being an asset.
• Understanding of legal and franchising processes
• Holding a paralegal Certification
• Bilingual in English/French
