SAP Integration Developer

This North American Retailer is looking for an SAP Integration Developer to join the team as they are preparing for a major system migration. They currently use SAP PI/PO (on‑prem) to handle integrations outside the SAP ecosystem, but SAP is pushing a move to the BTP Integration Suite.

Responsibilities:
o Oversee the full lifecycle of ERP integration solutions, from planning and design to implementation and support for on-premises, cloud or hybrid scenarios
o Design and build integrations and interfaces, including data integration and testing.
o Collaborate with technology partners and business stakeholders to gather integration requirements and design scalable, efficient integration solutions
o Provide expert guidance to team members and development teams on integration best practices
o Stay up to date with the latest SAP integration technologies and industry trends and apply this knowledge to deliver innovative solutions
o Document decisions and risks, form and execute mitigation plan
o Proactively identify, address, and resolve issues/problems as or before they occur

• You have a relevant university degree or technical diploma and a minimum of 10 years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered
• You have an in-depth understanding of SAP BTP Integration Suite, with practical experience designing and implementing integration scenarios using various integration patterns
• 5+ years of proven experience as an SAP Integration Developer with a strong foundation in SAP PI/PO, BTP Integration Suite, and API Management
• Develop and maintain integrations using SAP BTP Integration Suite, focusing on adapters such as IDOC, SFTP, SOAP, HTTPs, ODATA, etc.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, including OAuth 2.0 and SAML
• Proficiency in cloud-based development and familiarity with SAP BTP offerings (including SAP CAP)
• Deep understanding of SAP Cloud Integration and its capabilities, including message mapping, routing, and transformation
• Expertise in data mapping and transformation techniques using XSLT, graphical mapping tools, or other relevant technologies
• Familiarity with Java or other relevant programming languages for extending integration capabilities
• Experience in testing methodologies and tools for integration scenarios, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing
• Knowledge of monitoring tools and techniques for BTP Integration Suite and experience in troubleshooting integration issues
• Proven experience in technical platform architecture, design and deployment
• You have a solid understanding of the SAP landscape, modules, terminology and methodologies
