Job Description
A Canadian Law Firm is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their Litigation team. This is a full-time, permanent position and is ideal for individuals eager for growth and success. The candidate should have litigation experience, exceptional organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
What they'll be doing:
setting court dates and communicating with registries;
arranging court and tribunal filings and applications;
preparing and drafting various correspondence;
maintaining an efficient file management and bring forward system;
maintaining full calendar and email management for two busy lawyers;
liaising with legal assistants, paralegals, other lawyers and clients on file progress; and
general administrative duties as required.

Required Skills & Experience
graduate of an accredited legal assistant program or relevant experience;
a minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation legal administrative assistant,
strong technical skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, BC Online, and MYLTSA;
excellent verbal and written communication skills;
excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
the ability to prioritize a high volume of tasks and competing priorities;
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
working in the area of Strata is an asset
