Job Description
An independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector is looking to hire a Principal Civil/Geotechnical Engineer.
The successful candidate will contribute mine waste civil geotechnical expertise and experience to Canadian and international mining projects.
The position involves the following range of typical activities:
•Plan and execute field investigations, laboratory testing, analysis, design and construction oversight of mine tailings project and a variety of other earthworks projects in the mining industry.
•Manage teams of engineers delivering the above services.
•Develop project opportunities and client relationships.
- Day to day projects will include experience with mining tailings, storage of mining tailings, etc.

Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
• A minimum of an undergraduate degree in geotechnical, geological, environmental or civil engineering. A master’s or doctorate degree is an advantage.
• At least 15 years of applicable experience.
• Demonstrated team leadership and industry profile.
• Professional registration, or at least eligibility for registration.
• Willing to travel both within Canada and internationally.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
