Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Regulatory Advisor to join a boutique financial institution in Canada. Below are the day to day responsibilities.

1. Regulatory Documentation & Policy Review

Maintain and update a comprehensive library of regulatory guidelines, including AML requirements (e.g., FINTRAC).
Review internal policies to ensure alignment with external regulatory guidelines.
Validate that internal documents reference and address applicable regulatory standards.
Perform detailed reading and interpretation of regulatory requirements and guidelines.
Apply technical writing skills to document findings and recommendations clearly.

2. Compliance Mapping & Project Work

Participate in projects involving changes to compliance content providers.
Map legacy regulatory content to new provider materials, identifying gaps or mismatches.
Flag any unmapped or newly introduced regulatory elements for further review.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with teams such as Corporate Affairs, Finance, Risk, and others depending on the policy under review.
Coordinate with Leslie’s team and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive policy coverage.

4. Quality Assurance & Testing (Potential)

Support testing activities related to policy implementation or compliance validation, as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

3–5 years of experience in regulatory advisory roles within banking, trust, or financial services.
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including:
Privacy legislation
Trust and Loan Companies Act
CDIC (Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation) guidelines
OSFI (Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions) regulations


Proven technical writing and policy writing experience, with the ability to interpret and document complex regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with AML standards, including FINTRAC compliance expectations.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally across teams such as Corporate Affairs, Finance, and Risk.
Ability to validate internal policies against external regulatory guidelines, ensuring alignment without direct testing responsibilities.
