Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Sr Data Engineer who will be a hands-on technical contributor with deep expertise in data engineering and application development. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting scalable data solutions that power analytics, reporting, and operational systems across the organization. You will work in an agile, collaborative environment to translate business requirements into robust data pipelines and services using modern cloud technologies. Responsibilities include building secure and efficient data architectures, implementing ETL/ELT pipelines with tools like AWS Glue, PySpark, and Airflow, and optimizing large-scale datasets through partitioning and distributed processing. You’ll collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to develop APIs, integrations, and backend services, and contribute to microservices and event-driven architectures. The role also includes managing development timelines, supporting frontend integration, and ensuring code quality through CI/CD pipelines. You’ll participate in technical discussions and design reviews, support production systems through on-call rotation, and foster a collaborative team culture. A strong sense of curiosity, creativity, and a drive for continuous improvement are essential to succeed in this role.

Airflow or similar orchestration tool
ETL/ELT processes
Transformation tool: DBT Core

Reporting tool: Looker or PowerBI, etc
Observability tools: Data Dog or Honeycomb, etc
Hands on experience ensuring security of data
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience on the AI side - build modules in snowflake to build out AI agents ( does not have to be on snowflake )
Microservices- API through Java/python
AWS certification
Databricks or Redshift
