Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager for a Large retail client in North Vancouver BC. This Project Manager will join the Data and Analytics group supporting multiple of their business facing analytics squads They will be working closely under the product manager who is leading the Merchandising planning and allocation, Sustainability, and Supply chain Data Analytics team. As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in driving team alignment, optimizing workflows, and ensuring successful delivery of projects. You will be responsible for facilitating agile ceremonies, improving operational processes, and maintaining clear and actionable documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Agile Ceremonies & Project Facilitation
Lead and facilitate all core agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
Ensure timelines are maintained, blockers are escalated promptly, and team alignment is sustained throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Process Improvement & Automation
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows, including:
Automating intake processes.
Enhancing Jira board functionality.
Automating reporting from Jira to PowerPoint or other formats.
3. Ticket & Backlog Management
Write, refine, and maintain user stories and tasks with the appropriate level of detail to ensure they are development-ready.
Maintain a clean, prioritized backlog and ensure alignment with sprint goals and team capacity.
4. Documentation & Knowledge Management
Ensure Confluence and other documentation platforms are consistently updated, well-organized, and easily accessible to stakeholders.
5. Operational Support
Monitor and track bugs and issues, triaging them to the appropriate teams for resolution.
Support cross-functional collaboration to resolve operational challenges efficiently.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-have skills & experience
- 5+ years of Business Project Management work within a data centric teams
- Agile project experience and ability to act as a Scrum Master to lead scrum teams
- Proven ability to perform workflow and process optimization
- Ability to get in the weeds and support with discovery when required
- Proven ability to work in cross functional environments and create alignment across multiple teams
- Strong documentation skills

Retail background
Experience with retail data merchandising, planning and allocation data, supply data, or ESG retail data.
Certified Agile Scrum Master
