Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an Intermediate Product Designer to join one of Canada's largest athletic apparel retailers located in Vancouver, BC on a 12-month contract + extensions. In this role, this role will support the Lower funnel Product Catalog Management team. Experience with Product Data Catalogs, inter-team requirements and dependencies, and data flow diagramming is a must. Ability to work with stakeholders both business and operations is critical. Salsify experience is a nice to have.
Our client is looking to hire a dynamic Business Analyst to support a large engineering team and in collaboration with stakeholders and analyse data to identify process improvements for the Product Catalog infrastructure.
• Identify, gather, and prioritize business, functional, and technical requirements from stakeholders
• Analyse data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement
• Support implementation, testing, and configuration
• Support cross-functional collaboration and communications with business stakeholders
• Support development and maintenance of relevant documentation
• Participate in knowledge transfer activities

Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum of 3–5 years in a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably within eCommerce, retail technology, or a related domain involving product catalog management and structured product data.
• Demonstrated experience in data flow diagramming and partnership with architecture in developing schemas.
• Solid understanding of API integrations, including RESTful services, and experience with real-time data streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka for ingesting and distributing product data across platforms.
• Familiarity with data governance, quality assurance, and digital catalog taxonomy management in an enterprise ecosystem.
• Proven track record of working in Agile/Scrum environments, including backlog grooming, user story creation, and sprint planning.
