Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Sr Front End Engineer to join an enterprise retail company hybrid out of Vancouver. The successful candidate will involve driving project delivery and focusing on work that adds new features, eliminates technical debt, and optimizes existing products or systems. You will serve as a technical leader on smaller projects and actively participate in design discussions. Other principal duties and responsibilities include:
Partner with Domain Architects, Technology Managers, and Business Analysts to ensure solutions are aligned with stakeholder expectations
Support business teams to estimate and prioritize the backlog
Partner with Senior Engineers and Architects to assess and evaluate new platforms, products, and solutions
Responsible for contributing to the training of new hires and other engineers on topics in which you are a subject matter expert
Facilitate technical debt conversations with software engineers to ensure this is accounted for in requirements to deliver features
Responsible for making sure that solution designs are aligned with the guidelines and principles set by the architecture and engineering communities

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of real-world experience developing, deploying, scaling, and maintaining software applications
5+ years of experience with JavaScript/Typescript and React applications deployed to a cloud environment, including experience deploying serverless applications on AWS, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
3+ years of experience in React.js, Next.js, GraphQL and/or micro frontends
Experience integrating web frontends with complex multi-tier applications
BS in Computer Science or equivalent working experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Working with web analytics platforms like Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
Knowledge of client-side tag management systems such as Adobe Launch and GTM
Familiarity with server-side data collection tools like MetaRouter, Tealium, or GTM
Experience with monorepos and contributing to large-scale frontend architecture
