Job Description
A leading mining consulting firm is seeking a marketing coordinator to support their marketing activities and events across North America with a primary focus on the US. As part of a highly engaged team, you will partner with the other marketing staff, business services (HR, IT, and Accounting) and technical consulting teams to:
• Manage tradeshow and conference exhibits and sponsorships
• Assist with campaign development and execution
• Help with advertising planning and coordination
• Coordinate and adhere to publication schedules and deadlines
• Produce and/or edit text, graphics, video, and audio for collateral material, website, and internal communications
• Liaise with media partners, vendors, graphics designers, and editors
• Review and edit content to ensure quality and consistency
• Comply with established strategy, standards, and procedures
• Keep marketing assets organized
• Travel as needed for meetings and events
• Prepare reports
• Other related work as assigned

Required Skills & Experience
• A bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
• Three-plus years in marketing or similar roles
• Conference and tradeshow exhibit management – event planning, setup and execution (required)
• Strong communication skills – effective writing and marketing communication skills (portfolio samples to be reviewed)
• Strong project management skills – ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Ability to assess technical subject matter to summarize for promotion across various marketing channels
• Proficiency in various marketing tools with an ability to learn new technologies quickly – Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Suite, content management systems, social media platforms, email marketing tools, analytics software, and a working knowledge of various AI tools
• Ability and willingness to travel to events for setup and on-site support
• Proven ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
• Strong people skills – direct engagement with technical experts internally and externally at conferences and various industry events
• Focused, detail-oriented work habits
• Confident, adaptable approach to work that is proactive and collaborative while requiring minimal supervision
Mining industry experience (preferred)
