Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Junior Accountant with one of BC's leading health authorities. This role plays a vital part in managing accounts payable processes for the Real Estate Development Team. The Junior Accountant is responsible for processing and coding invoices, ensuring documentation and approvals are in place, and maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with VCH policies. The role supports month-end reconciliations, audit preparation, and ongoing improvements to financial systems. It requires a background in accounting or finance, strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders in a large, fast-paced public health environment.

Required Skills & Experience

Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a large organization or public sector.
Experience in processing, verification, and coded incoming invoices.
Maintained cost tracking logs for multiple projects.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal stakeholders.
