Job Description

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled IT Security & Compliance Consultant to join our team and drive execution of SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit initiatives. This is a contract position covering parental leave for two team members, with a strong likelihood of extension. Candidates must have audit and compliance experience from public practice settings and strong stakeholder management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute over 20 SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit reports in collaboration with third-party security firms (e.g., Deloitte, KPMG)
Liaise with internal teams and external partners to schedule, coordinate, and support audit efforts
Identify testing requirements, gather documentation, and drive remediation and reporting efforts
Oversee audit readiness processes and manage stakeholder communications
Support privacy, IT security, and vendor risk compliance initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

Required Skills & Experience:
Deep experience managing SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits and reporting cycles
Background in public practice (consulting firm or professional services preferred)
Strong project management skills; excels in coordination, follow-through, and stakeholder engagement
Familiarity with IT audit, security auditing, and third-party vendor assessments
