Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Product Manager of Search and Navigation to join one of North America's largest athleisure wear companies. As a Product Manager for Navigation and Search, you will be responsible for driving the strategy and execution of their platform's navigation and search functionalities. Your goal will be to enhance the user experience by ensuring users can effortlessly find products, categories, and relevant information, while balancing inspirational content with practical navigation. Key responsibilities will include:

Strategic Planning:

Define and execute the product strategy for navigation and search, aligning with overall business objectives.
Develop a roadmap for navigation and search improvements, prioritizing features based on user needs and business goals.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to keep our navigation and search functionalities competitive.
Navigation and Wayfinding:

Lead the development and optimization of wayfinding strategies, ensuring intuitive navigation through categories and products.
Collaborate with design and UX teams to create a seamless and engaging navigation experience.
Balance inspirational content with practical product discovery to enhance user satisfaction.
Search Optimization:

Oversee the enhancement of search functionalities, including type-ahead algorithms and recommendation systems.
Analyze user interactions with the search bar to refine the experience and improve accuracy of suggestions.
Decide on the presentation of search results, balancing between showing products and inspirational content.
User Experience:

Continuously evaluate and improve the user experience related to navigation and search.
Conduct user testing and gather feedback to identify areas for improvement.
Implement changes based on user insights to ensure a smooth and satisfying navigation journey.
Collaboration and Leadership:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and analytics, to align navigation and search strategies with overall business goals.
Lead brainstorming sessions to innovate and enhance the wayfinding journey.
Communicate product vision and strategy to stakeholders and team members.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience as a Product Manager in eCommerce preferably in roles focused on navigation and search.
Demonstrated success in leading product initiatives and driving results.
Expertise in user interface design and understanding what elements should be surfaced to enhance user experience.
Ability to decide what is returned in search results, focusing on UI rather than backend search algorithms.
Knowledge of search optimization techniques
Focus on enhancing the user experience through effective search UI design.
Experience working with large-scale companies and understanding the complexities involved.
Proven experience working in large-scale environments where ambiguity is common.
Ability to navigate and thrive in complex, dynamic settings.
