Insight Global is seeking a skilled FHIR Data Model Developer to join one of BCs leading Health Organizations in building, mapping, and optimizing healthcare data models. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources), hands-on experience in data model mapping, and the technical expertise required for integrating healthcare data systems. This role requires proficiency in Python and Java, as well as experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and AWS for cloud solutions. Collaborating closely with a team of developers, you will ensure data integrity and compliance with healthcare standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
FHIR Data Model Mapping and Development:
-Design, develop, and maintain FHIR-based data models to support healthcare data exchange and interoperability.
-Perform mapping between our data warehouse schema, various healthcare data standards (OMP) and FHIR resources to ensure accurate and efficient data transformation.
-Work closely with a developer team to understand data requirements and ensure data integrity and compliance with healthcare standards.
Programming and Development:
-Write and maintain code in Python and Java to support data transformation, ingestion, and integration pipelines.
-Develop APIs and integrations to facilitate data flow between healthcare systems.
-Ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability to support large-scale data processing.
Containerization and Cloud Infrastructure:
-Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration, deployment, and scaling of applications.
-Leverage AWS services to build, deploy, and manage applications in a cloud environment.
-Work with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging for efficient cloud-based infrastructure.
Collaboration and Documentation:
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software and DevOps engineers, and other developers, to define data requirements and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
-Document FHIR mappings, transformations, and codebase changes for future maintenance and team knowledge sharing.
-Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and team members as needed.

-Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
-3+ years of experience in healthcare data integration, FHIR development, or a similar role focused on healthcare data standards.
-Demonstrated experience working in cloud environments (AWS preferred) and with containerization technologies (Kubernetes required).
-Deep understanding of FHIR data structures and mapping between FHIR resources and other healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, ICD, SNOMED).
-Experience in healthcare interoperability standards, data mapping, and data modeling within healthcare contexts.
-Proficiency in Python and Java for developing data pipelines, APIs, and integrations.
-Strong understanding of software development best practices, code versioning (Git), and software lifecycle management.
-Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for containerized application management and deployment.
-Strong knowledge of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, ECR, Lambda, and IAM.
-Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
-Knowledge of healthcare data privacy regulations.
-Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and infrastructure as code.
