Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Events and Membership Coordinator to join our client local to Vancouver on a contractual basis. This opportunity is a hybrid role that will require you to work on-site 3-days per week, downtown Vancouver. The role will consist of 3 areas, the most important of which being event coordination. The successful candidate will oversee all coordination and planning for larger conference size level events ranging from 400 to 1,300 people. This includes securing a meeting and hotel space, food and refreshments, working with vendors to set up booths, production and audio/visual teams, and ensuring contracts are in place to proceed with the events. Additionally, you will be working closely with members of the organization and the board. From a member perspective, you will be updating and maintaining the member database through a CRM system to update, amend and make revisions as needed. Additionally, you will be liaising as the key point of contact for membership dues and sponsorship fees for events. Lastly, you will be working closely with the Board of Directors to facilitate internal meetings/events and communication.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3-years of experience working in event coordination, preferably in the Vancouver region
- Very organized with a high-sense of urgency and the ability to pivot in everchanging situations
- Key attention to detail for event coordination and membership details
- Experience working with vendors and overseeing contract negotiations
- Strong hands-on experience working within the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products, and CRM platforms

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Familiarity of working within the BC Insurance Industry
- Ability to communicate with high-level key stakeholders of external organizations
