Job Description

Day to Day:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll join the ecommerce development team which plays a key role in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining a wide range of software, tools, applications, and information systems supporting their retail platforms.

Your focus will be on extending, developing, and maintaining the Adobe Commerce platform so it can seamlessly integrate with other systems. You'll be working alongside a team of agile professionals with a proven track record of delivering successful projects. You'll collaborate closely with senior developers and web architects to design and comprehend project architectures.



Responsibilities include:

· Develop and maintain customizations and extensions for Magento/Adobe Commerce.

· Create REST and GraphQL interfaces to enhance platform functionality.

· Design and implement micro-services to optimize system architecture.

· Enhance CI/CD processes to streamline development workflows.

· Monitor messaging platform (RabbitMQ), web servers, and assets using APM tools like New Relic.

· Adhere to DevOps practices, including peer code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration & deployment.

· Collaborate on special projects within an Agile team environment.

· Analyze system requirements and refine technical specifications based on business needs and existing documentation.

Contribute to team development efforts by documenting code, following style guides, and collaborating closely with various team members.

Required Skills & Experience

· 4+ years relevant experience with at least 2+ years' experience with full stack development in an Agile/Scrum environment.

· 2+ years' experience with Magento/Adobe Commerce cloud with extensive experience in configuration, maintenance and development.

· Working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript best practices

· Experience with CMS/CDN (content management systems/content delivery), integrating with 3rd party APIs, OAuth 2.0, headless CMS solutions and analytics suites.

· Experience integrating GraphQL

· DevOps experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)

· Knowledge of Micro Services concepts and architecture.

· Experience writing and maintaining automated, visual-regression, or unit tests.

· Knowledge with Adobe Cloud architecture.

· DevOps experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)

Exceptional communication, problem solving, and documentation skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Knowledge on Storage Catalog (categories, products, attributes) and

Sales Orders (orders, invoices, shipments, promotions)

- E-commerce experience

- Retail Experience

- You have strong knowledge or interest in the outdoor, ski, or sporting goods industries

- Lives in British Columbia / Vancouver
