Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to our clients growing HR team and assist in the timeliness, accuracy, and compliance of payroll and benefits activities for both EP Canada locations (Toronto and Vancouver). The successful candidate will work closely with our HR team for onboarding new employees and with the Finance team on preparation of payroll for 100+ hourly and salaried employees. This position will also be the first point of contact for any employee inquiries about HR policies and procedures, payroll, and benefits.

Required Skills & Experience

-1-3+ years of experience within the HR space (e.g., recruiting, training, employee relation oversight, compensation, benefits, and performance management).



1-3+ years experience processing payroll (bi-weekly) Ontario and BC specifically (preferably within the Benefits & Total Rewards space).



-Experience with a payroll processing software (preference for Oracle Cloud Systems)



-High Proficiency with MS Suite - Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP



- PCP Designation or working towards it



-Knowledge of Ontario, British Columbia and Canadian payroll and tax legislation



-Understanding of Federal and Provincial Payroll and Employment legislation



-Understanding of HRIS Time and Labor



-GO-GETTER & GROWTH-ORIENTED MENTALITY - Excited & eager about HR functions/tasks



-Highly detail-oriented (assessed using PI index) and Data Driven



-Exceptional Communicator with Leadership experience and Qualities

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience with UKG



-Experience with Entertainment (e.g., film, tv, etc.) HR



-Understanding of Health and safety requirements in the HR/office space
