Job Description

Insight Global is in search for a Product Owner to join one of the largest retail companies located in Vancouver on a 6 months contract basis with the expectations to be on-site 3 days/week. In the role, you will be joining the Engineering Practices, Insights, and Education Team and Enterprise Observability team and will ensure these teams are effectively resourcing from a budget perspective. Your day to day responsibilities will include:

- Manage licenses for various software products used by our teams, ensuring compliance and efficient utilization

- Responsible for monitoring and managing the team's budget, including tracking expenses and optimizing resource allocation.

- Facilitate smooth onboarding for new team members, ensuring they have the necessary tools, access, and information.

- Review and approve team members' time sheets accurately and promptly.

- Organize team meetings, workshops, and events, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and refine service roadmaps aligned with business goals.

o i.e. Yearly and quarterly planning, OPEX and CAPEX

- Regularly monitor performance metrics and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), providing insights to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5 years of experience within a similar capacity and experience; preferably coming from an Enterprise, Retail or similar enviroment

- Basic understanding of IT related functions: SDLC or Agile knowledge, general ecommerce or software tools, front-end vs back-end understanding, etc

- Experience tracking and managing software or product licensing

- Strong financial budgeting experience, including tracking expenses and optimizing resource allocation.

- Strong time management and administrative skills (i.e. Meeting scheduling, timesheet approvals, organizational skills)

Experience tracking and reporting Key Metrics and/or OKRs
