Job Description
Walmart is hiring a Native Android Developer to contribute to the Walmart+ mobile application, a flagship product delivering premium retail and membership experiences at scale. This role will focus on building high-quality Android features that enhance the end-to-end digital shopping journey for Walmart+ members.
This is a high-impact opportunity to work on a large-scale, customer-facing app used by millions of users daily.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin / Java for the Walmart+ app
Build features supporting subscriptions, checkout, loyalty benefits, and personalized experiences
Partner with product, UX, backend, and QA teams to deliver scalable solutions
Ensure high performance and responsiveness across Android devices
Integrate APIs, payment services, and backend systems supporting eCommerce flows
Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
Contribute to Android architecture decisions and best practices

Required Skills & Experience
4+ years of native Android development
Strong expertise in Kotlin and/or Java
Experience with Android SDK, Jetpack, Compose
Experience building high-traffic mobile applications
Strong understanding of REST APIs and mobile architecture
Agile development experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with eCommerce, retail, or subscription-based apps
Prior experience working on Walmart or Walmart+ mobile platforms
Familiarity with MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks
