Job Description

Supporting one of our largest retail clients, this role sits within the Consumer & Sensory Insights team supporting Private Brands. This position is responsible for leading the sensory science strategy and framework used to evaluate product performance and guide product development decisions.
This Senior Sensory Scientist will define and guide sensory methodologies, oversee study design and execution conducted by internal teams or external partners, and translate sensory results into actionable product insights. The role plays a critical part in ensuring consistency, rigor, and accuracy across all sensory evaluation work, leveraging platforms such as RedJade.

Required Skills & Experience

-Strong sensory science expertise: Experience with methodologies like CLT, HUT, discrimination testing, and descriptive analysis
-Background in food/CPG product testing: Hands-on experience evaluating products (taste, texture, appearance) in a real product development environment
-Experience with RedJade: Ability to work within or oversee studies run through RedJade (big differentiator)
-Ability to design and guide sensory studies (not just participate): Can recommend the right methodology and ensure studies are set up correctly
Strong data interpretation + storytelling: Can translate sensory results into clear, actionable product recommendations for business teams
