Job Description
We are looking for a Java Spring Boot Developer to help build scalable, high‑performance applications that support one of the world’s largest retail and supply chain platforms. In this role, you’ll work on modern microservices, cloud‑native architectures, and data‑driven solutions that impact millions of users globally.
You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to design, develop, and deliver secure, resilient services in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
What You'll Do..
Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based applications using Spring Boot and related frameworks
Build and support RESTful APIs and microservices used across Walmart’s digital platforms
Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices and design patterns
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design sessions
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance at scale
Ensure applications meet security, reliability, and compliance standards
Support CI/CD pipelines and participate in agile development ceremonies

Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with Java (8 or higher)
Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Core
Experience building REST APIs and microservices
Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure acceptable)
Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working in large‑scale, enterprise environments
Exposure to event‑driven architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub, etc.)
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of security best practices, OAuth/JWT, and API security
Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Retail, eCommerce, or supply chain domain experience a plus
