We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Senior Manager of Assortment Analytics to join our Merchandising team. This role will be instrumental in developing tools, analyzing data, and delivering actionable insights to support assortment strategies across all categories. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate business requests into data-driven insights and strategic recommendations for merchandising partners across categories such as Merch Ops, Baby, and more.
Develop and maintain analytical tools and dashboards to support assortment planning and optimization.
Lead and prioritize incoming analytics requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights.
Perform statistical analysis, including regression modeling, to support business decisions.
Conduct general data pulls and exploratory analysis to support category-level initiatives (e.g., space allocation trends in footwear).
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver clear, actionable insights.
Support tool development using programming languages such as R or Python.
Partner with technical teams to ensure data is structured, stored, and accessed efficiently.

Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
Strong technical background with experience in SQL development, data processing, and backend data structures.
Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools.
Experience with statistical programming (R, Python) and data science methodologies.
Proven ability to manage ambiguity and prioritize multiple competing requests.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
Experience working in a retail or merchandising environment is a plus.
