* Duration: Ongoing (at least 12 months)
* Location: 2200 Don Tyson Parkway, Springdale, AR
* Will hire 10
* Team of 8 panelists currently
* Perm, part-time not temporary opportunity (9hr/week for a year+)
* Looking for foodies! Taste and tell whats in protein and sauces; flavors. EX this has sage, this has rosemary -- no requirements; will have training!
Summary:
***Candidates MUST pass screener before being submitted to Simplify. Screener should be administered by the supplier to the candidate. If they pass, submit the candidate to Simplify and include the completed screener along with resume.***
Are you a good communicator with a love for food? Would you be interested in becoming a professional taste tester? If you answered yes to the above questions, this could be the position for you! Tyson Foods is looking for part-time employees to join our Food Tasting Panel. Prior to training, there will be screening interviews in February. Training will begin in March. Detailed dates and hours will be given at time of screening interviews. If selected, you will participate in a paid training program to educate you how to taste, identify, and quantify differences across a wide variety of protein-based foods. Upon completion of training, you will participate in the ongoing Tasting Panel which will be a permanent, part-time role at 9 hours per week.
Requirements:
18 years or older
Ability to evaluate the following types of food, including but not limited to: hot dogs, smoked sausage, breakfast sausage, lunchmeat (turkey, ham, chicken, roast beef, salami, pork), breaded chicken (nuggets, tenders, strips, fillets), Philly steak, pizza toppings (pepperoni, sausage crumbles), plant-based protein (nuggets, burgers, sausage, hot dogs). Items may have dairy, nut traces or other ingredients.
Strong communication skills. Ability to express one's thoughts in verbal and written communication to various stakeholders.
The job requires strong sensory sensitivity. Some activities, such as smoking and wearing strong scents, may suppress one's sensory sensitivity. Please refrain from smoking or wearing strong scents the day of panel testing.
Ability to chew and taste food.
Available for all training sessions and ongoing, long-term panel sessions (general schedule will be shared)
