This Engineer will not need to script as heavily, but if they can automate their work, then that is a huge plus! This Engineer will focus on the cryptography piece, which is more about data, the data in the database or the data that might rest on the disk drive. Another focus for these two will be security keys. It is crucial this person has experience with Key Management technologies, such as CipherTrust or Thales. This team and these individuals will play a big role in implementing and supporting Thales or Entrust/nCipher encryption Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) in a multi-datacenter environment.

Some additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Help design, develop, and implement system architecture, system integrations and system automations and help coordinate all associated testing and change management activities.

-Manage software, hardware, and configurations lifecycles under the direction of the Team Leads and Subject Matter Experts in accordance with established design patterns and procedures.

-Specify practical, cost-effective working solutions that get the best out of the technology with the least amount of effort while minimizing long-term hands-on maintenance.

- Working along with other technical staff who are also responsible for other aspects of the systems.

- Participating in agile teams alongside product managers, solution owners, and leads, and other engineers.

- Contributing to design and architecture elements and able to make security trade-offs as required.

- Providing Tier 3 technical support and mentoring junior staff on other teams.
