Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Material Logistics Coordinator to join a fast-growing team in the underground construction space. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll play a key part in keeping critical projects running smoothly. Doing everything from coordinating large-scale material orders (including fiber) to ensuring purchase orders and budgets stay on track. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves staying organized, and isn’t afraid to ask questions. Compensation: $21/hr to $25/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins at employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Haves:
• 2–5 years of experience in project coordination or logistics
• Construction industry background (underground preferred, open to above-ground)
• Highly organized with strong multitasking skills
• Strong communicator (phone, email, and cross-functional collaboration)
• Detail-oriented with experience reviewing quotes, budgets, or financials
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft 365
• Problem-solving mindset with ability to adapt in real-time
• Comfortable working in a hybrid role (admin-heavy with some warehouse exposure)
• Experience working with Oracle Fusion or other purchasing/ERP system experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:
• Finance/accounting exposure (budgets, cost tracking, POs)
• Power/telecom experience (fiber knowledge is a plus)
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one

Day-to-Day:
• Coordinate and track material orders for large-scale construction projects
• Manage purchase orders and financial documentation within internal systems
• Maintain and update spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) for tracking and reporting
• Support logistics between field teams, vendors, and warehouse operations
• Answer inbound calls and handle day-to-day requests/issues
• Assist with warehouse coordination (inventory, shipments, materials flow)
• Review quotes and ensure alignment with project budgets
• Communicate across teams and time zones to ensure project efficiency
• Identify issues quickly and proactively work toward solutions
• Collaborate closely with a highly communicative team
