Job Description

Join our fast-paced aerospace team as a Systems Engineer! We're seeking a talented individual to backfill a critical, urgent role focused on advanced system modeling for our innovative Surveillance products. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to runway collision avoidance technology on Airbus aircraft, utilizing your expertise in aerospace systems and MATLAB.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and iterate on complex system models, primarily using MATLAB, to simulate millions of real-world scenarios for runway collision avoidance.
• Analyze and incorporate data from sources like the FAA to validate system performance.
• Collaborate with the software engineering team to integrate models with formal software.
• Participate in verification and validation testing as projects transition from design to formal testing phases.
• Contribute to the full development lifecycle of aerospace products, ensuring adherence to rigorous standards.

What Success Looks Like (Initial 3 Months):
Weeks 1-3: Rapidly acclimate to our environment, tools, and project functionality by shadowing team members.
Weeks 3-4: Begin hands-on work, manipulating existing models.
Months 2-3: Independently make changes to models, run formal test cases, and actively contribute to project development.
Team Structure: This role resides within the design and requirements team, with opportunities to transition to verification and validation as projects evolve. You will report to a Systems Manager and work closely with other systems engineers, project engineers, and chief engineers.
