Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a fast-paced outpatient clinic focused on providing inclusive, patient-centered care. This role will work closely with providers and patients to deliver high-quality clinical support while maintaining a positive and respectful patient experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working with diverse patient populations.
Day-to-Day:
• Room patients and take vitals including blood pressure, weight, and temperature
• Assist providers during exams and procedures including pap smears
• Administer injections, vaccines, and perform point-of-care testing
• Conduct EKGs, spirometry, QuantaFlo, and other diagnostic tests
• Perform lab-related tasks including urinalysis, pregnancy tests, glucose checks, and STI testing
• Document patient information, histories, and visit details accurately in EMR
• Coordinate patient flow and support overall clinic efficiency
• Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and providers regarding care and prescriptions
• Complete prior authorizations and assist with referrals
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment

Required Skills & Experience
Must-Haves:
• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
• Experience taking vitals and assisting with patient exams
• Strong EMR/EHR documentation experience
• Ability to administer injections and perform basic lab testing
• Strong patient-facing communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses:
• Experience in primary care or specialty outpatient settings
• Experience with STI/HIV testing or sexual health services
• Bilingual Spanish/English
• Experience working with diverse or underserved populations
