Job Description

Insight Global is seeking multiple Senior Site Reliability Engineer's (SRE) – Identity & Cryptography for a leading financial services client. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of enterprise identity platforms and multi-cloud key management systems across hybrid environments.
The ideal candidate will act as a technical authority in identity and cryptography, partnering with engineering and security teams to design resilient systems, automate operations, and enforce enterprise standards. This individual will play a key role in vulnerability remediation, observability improvements, and advancing SRE best practices such as SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
This is a highly impactful role offering the opportunity to work on critical identity and security infrastructure while influencing architecture, reliability, and compliance across a complex enterprise environment.
Day-to-Day:
• Act as SRE and SME for identity platforms, cryptography services, and key management systems
• Design and support highly available, resilient, and secure identity/KMS solutions
• Lead vulnerability remediation and audit/compliance issue resolution
• Drive standardization by eliminating non-compliant technologies
• Define and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and reliability metrics
• Build and enhance observability frameworks across identity and cryptographic platforms
• Automate operations using IaC, CI/CD, and policy-as-code
• Support incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident remediation
• Collaborate with security teams on compliance and regulatory adherence
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience supporting mission-critical platforms
• Deep expertise in Identity & Access Management (IAM) (authentication, authorization, directory services)
• Strong knowledge of cryptography concepts (encryption, key lifecycle, HSMs, secrets management)
• Hands-on experience with Key Management Services (KMSaaS):
o AWS KMS
o Azure Key Vault
o Google Cloud KMS
o Thales HSM / CipherTrust or similar
• Experience working in multi-cloud and hybrid environments
• Strong background in Linux/Unix, networking, and distributed systems
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, etc.)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Proven ability to remediate vulnerabilities and security/compliance findings
• Experience implementing SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and reliability metrics
• Strong experience in observability (monitoring, alerting, logging, tracing)
• Excellent collaboration skills working with engineering, security, and architecture teams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with Thales HSM and CipherTrust Manager (CTM)
• Deep exposure to cloud cryptography across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Familiarity with Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR)
• Experience with policy-as-code and compliance automation
• Background in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, etc.)
• Strong scripting/programming (Python, Go, Bash)
• Experience defining enterprise technology standards
• Prior technical leadership or mentorship experience
